Travelling to Bir

And the journey begins… 1st November '12

I take a shortcut here...

Laaju arrived from Mumbai at 6am.

Day 1 – 11.35 am - I & Laju (Abad) board HAPA JAT Express

Day 2 - 4.50 am - Hiten & Sahil  board the same train from Delhi

Arrive Pathankot 1pm – Delayed by about 25 mins

Paratha Lunch @ Vaishno Dhaba opposite the main bus stand

Board a bus to Baijnath – 2pm

We were scheduled to reach Baijnath at 7pm and from Baijnath we had to board another bus/taxi and reach BIR road and from BIR Road to our Guest house. The bus journey to Baijnath was long & tiring leading to uneasiness as we were winding up the mountains! All we dreamt about was to get to the hotel & crash.

Arrived Baijnath at 7.45pm (45mins late)

We had two options :

Option 1- Take a bus to Bir road & then take a taxi to our guest house

Option 2 - Take a taxi directly to the guest house – though it was comparatively expensive we all chose option 2 

Arrived guest house at around 8.45pm - Chokling Guest house

Freshened up & asked for food in our hotel but it was too late!

We walked down the deserted dark streets at 10pm to find some restaurant/dhaba. We were lucky to get food at Hotel Surya & wow, it was yummy :)

After having the yummy dinner we walked back to hotel sipping hot chocolate! Cool weather + hot chocolate  =  awesome combination:)

We got back to the hotel, watched a movie – Serendipity and slept off :)
