Para-gliding!

Breakfast!

Chai at the khidki- soaking in the morning sun

Fresh veg grilled sandwich - we all loved it
Time to pack up, check out and go paragliding! We had decided to paraglide and leave for Dharamshala today afternoon but....
well read on to know why we did not go to Dharamshala and why we are still in BIR in a new guest house :-p

Ready to check out

Off to take-off point for paragliding with our taxi driver Gulabsingh

On the way to the take-off point
The khoonkhar panjabi munda we call him - Sahil :-p
Hiten & I - the designer duo
A small temple on our way to the take-off point - Maiya, koodne ja rahe hain - aage aap dekh lena :)

The take off point - the tiny little projections at the top are human beings

Sahil - listening to instructions from his co-pilot

 Laaju - with her co-pilot

Geared up for take-off
Sharing our fears- Laju & I

Geared up for take-off  - my trio :)

I and my co-pilot (pilot, this guy??? No wayyy)

I did gear up for the glide but my co-pilot did not look like a pilot (the guy in the red tee standing opposite to me). He was not even wearing shoes - a basic safety gear! Neither did he have his licence. Sahil, Laju & Hiten took off and I was all on my own to decide if I wanted to fly with him. I asked another pilot if he would fly with me and he denied - sheer politics. I wasn't convinced, so I decided not to fly with him and wind back down to the landing area :) It wasn't worth taking the risk and I did not regret it :)

About to take-off

After these guys landed, they discovered I did not fly! No one was happy that I did not do it. So here I am! I did it! I chose the pilot I wanted to fly with and we all traveled back up for my flight :)
Going back up again to the take-off point for me to glide - Thankyou friends :)

Thats my co-pilot - Raju ji:)

Sissi is all smiles - touchwood :)

My landing

Sunset time - well almost at the landing area

When the sun is about to set - landing area
Okay so I must now clarify why we did not go to Dharamshala tonight.

Saaaeel (Sahil's new name) told me, "ab aage ki aap koi planning nahi karoge, main karunga! Aap se nahi honi planning, sab gadbad karte ho!"

Wow - I am relieved! Who wants to plan anyways :-p

We got delayed due to my 2nd round of paragliding and it would be difficult to find accommodation in Dharamshala/Mcleodganj at night, so Saaeel decided that we stay back in BIR and leave tomorrow morning at 6am.
Aye Aye captain, we said :)
