We loved the sight of para-gliders
on our way to the institute and 3 of us have decided to do it tomorrow hoping
that we will be able to convince Hiten too :-p.
We met a few Tibetans on our
way who greeted us and this is what I thought – friendly people! The walk from
our Guest House to Deer Park Institute is of about 10minutes and is beautiful.
We saw some tiny Tibetan homes, lots and lots of prayer flags & fresh lime trees.
At Deer Park we experienced our first interaction with a monk.

He showed us around the institute without even having to ask for. Beautiful people! We visited the Manjushri Hall of Wisdom, Tara Hall of Compassion & the beautiful monastery.

As recommended by Rina – the lady in
the office at Deer Park, we walked up towards the Garden CafĂ© – an eco friendly
restaurant for a late lunch. It was almost 4.15pm. We loved the place. We
ordered some veg pizza, veg grilled sandwich, some salad & a walnut cake
with vanilla icecream topped with chocolate.
